BIRTH_CITY	City of birth.
BIRTH_COUNTRY	Country of birth.
BIRTH_YEAR	Year of birth, formatted as YYYY.
BIRTH_STATE	State of birth. If born in the U.S., this is recorded as state postal code.
JUDGE_ID	Unique ID. "mag" is used for magistrate judges, "bnk' is used for bankruptcy judges.
CL_ID	CourtListener judge ID. Provided for users who want a crosswalk to CourtListener data.
NAME_FIRST	First name.
NAME_MIDDLE	Middle name, if any.
NAME_LAST	Last name.
NAME_SUFFIX	Suffix, if any.
POLITICAL_PARTY	Political party.
RACE	Race.
RELIGION	Religion.
GENDER	Gender

Variable	Description
CITY	The city a position was located in.
COUNTRY	The country a position was located in.
DATE_END	Date judge ended working a job. Takes the form of YYYY-MM-DD although months and/or days may be omitted due to incomplete data.
DATE_START	Date judge started a job. Takes the form of YYYY-MM-DD although months and/or days may be omitted due to incomplete data.
INSTITUTION	Employer.
STATE	The state a position was located in. This is recorded as a state postal code.
SUPERVISING_JUDGE	Only relevant when the position is a clerkship. Includes the name, but not the honorific, of the supervising judge.
TITLE	Job title.

Variable	Description
DEGREE	Degree obtained.
DEGREE_YEAR	Year degree was obtained (YYYY), if known.
MAJOR	Major, if known.
SCHOOL	Name of college/university.

Variable	Description
CITATION	Bluebook citation of resource. The work to fill in this field is ongoing and, as of 2021-05-20, they are overwhelmingly blank.
DATE_RETRIEVED	Date source was reviewed (YYYY-MM-DD)
SOURCE	Description of source. If obtained from a website a URL is provided. Otherwise, a brief description is provided.
